Last March our Member, Pat O'Sullivan from Bournemouth, along with his friend, Bill Kennedy, organised a Golf Competition at the Knighton Heath Golf Club in order to raise awareness and much needed funds for Myotonic Dystrophy research. They spent time and effort encouraging sponsors for both the prize money and the raffle, with all the funds raised to be shared between MDSG and Age U.K.
Their hard work paid off , there were 50 competitors and MDSG benefited by £840.
To Pat and all his friends and supporters, his sponsors, J and B Plumbers Merchants, MPH Plumbers Merchants, Clark Salt Supplies, Stewart Homer Properties, and the several Golf Clubs who gave free days which were auctioned : VERY WELL DONE INDEED AND HEARTFELT THANKS FROM THE MDSG.
