Linzi Sky Dives for MDSG!!

 

Linzi Patterson was diagnosed with myotonic dystrophy at the age of 21. Now 33, she has to use a wheelchair full time and cannot stand. However, she isn't going to let little details like that stop her jumping out of a plane at over 10,000 ft!! On 25th February Linzi will be doing a sponsored tandem skydive to raise funds and awareness for MDSG. Inspired by reading the inspiring book 'Old Before My Time' (the story of Hayley Okines' fight against progeria) she decided to do something about raising funds to help in the fight against her own condition, and started phoning round parachuting venues. Unfortunately, because she cannot walk, only one place was willing to consider letting her do it and so we must thank Skydive South Coast in Salisbury for allowing her the opportunity to make this brave gesture.
