Falklands war - A sailor's story....

 

On May 17th MDSG Director John Kelly gave a presentation in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, telling his personal story of the Falklands War, when he was the Executive Officer of HMS FEARLESS, the ship which led the landings in San Carlos Water. The event was arranged by John and Sue's nephew, Marcus Watson, with whom John cycled to Paris 4 years ago. The event was by invitation and the proceeds were shared between MDSG and Help for Heroes. Everyone enjoyed an excellent dinner after John's fascinating talk, and MDSG is very grateful to receive £725 as a share of the proceeds.
