BBC Interview

Margaret is to be interviewed by Graham Torrington of the BBC this coming Thursday 1 August.  It will last about 20 minutes, be recorded, to transmit on 8 BBC stations approximately two hours later.

The questions would be sent in advance.

Rust to Rome

Stuart Hay from Inverness is raising money on behalf of his niece, Mia, who has Congenital Myotonic Dystrophy.  Stuart is driving 4000 miles to Rome, raising awareness and money.  Here is a picture of him celebrating arriving in Rome.  Congratulations, well done.

Bus Advertising

To try something different, MDSG are advertising on the back of buses in the Birmingham area.

This advertising will take place from 22 July until 19 August, to coincide with the start of the Ashes.

Please look out for them, let us know if you spot one.

Myotonic Dystrophy Support Group will be having a stall at the Gedling Village Gala.

Sponsored Walk

St Cyprian’s Church, Nottingham are arranging a sponsored walk on Saturday 27 July 2019 in aid of Myotonic Dystrophy Support Group and St. Cyprians Church Funds.

The walk starts at Vicar Water Country Park, near Mansfield at 10am with the aim to finish at 4pm.  A total of 11.5 miles, stopping at Edwinstowe Leisure Centre for lunch.  There is a short walk option.  Further details from the office.
