Awareness Programme

Raising awareness of the condition amongst the general public and the medical profession is a key objective for the group.

This involves securing television, radio and newspaper coverage and generally publicising the existence of the group, for example, by attending professional conferences and distributing information. By promoting understanding and awareness we strive to improve care provision and day to day self management.

The MDSG board of trustees will have an information stand at these events:

16/17 March, Royal College of Physicians Annual Conference, Manchester

17 March, Royal College of General Practitioners Neurology Day, London

17/18 May, Primary Care Exhibition, NEC Birmingham

23/24 June, our own Conference

5/7 July, Association of Anaesthetists, 50th Trainees Conference, Cardiff

12/13 October, RCGP Annual Conference, Liverpool
